Welcome to Lithuania!
Lithuania lies in North-Eastern Europe on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea. In terms of its territory (total area 65,3 thousand km²), it is larger than Belgium, Denmark, The Netherlands or Switzerland.
Lithuania was admitted to European Union and NATO in 2004.

Lithuania has also demonstrated itself as a country that has preserved a unique and rich cultural heritage.

In 2009 Lithuania has celebrated its Millennium anniversary.

This is only a brief introduction. Be sure - you will find much more! And it turns a nice surprise.
Lithuania today offers a pleasant relaxed stay or holiday in a mild climate zone, where the traveler is soothed by quiet, picturesque landscapes, enjoys the local people hospitality and still reasonable price level, as well as various kind of entertaining night life.

Local climate is maritime continental. The storms and excess rainfalls that blew over Western Europe in recent years bypassed this region; moreover, the summers have become dryer and hotter here. The temperature in summer rises to +30.

Some amazing facts to portrait Lithuania:

In the fifteen century the Grand Lithuanian Dukedom was the largest commonwealth in Europe, stretching its borders from the Baltic to the Black sea.
By the end of the twentieth century small Lithuania proclaimed itself an independent state, separated from the huge Soviet Union and was blamed for its collapse!
It sounds almost as incredible as the statement, included in the World Guiness Record Book’97, that the geographical centre of Europe is located in Lithuania, 26 km north of Vilnius! It might be added, that people here speak the Lithuanian language, acknowledged by linguists as the oldest living Indo-European language, congener to Sanskrit...

"...You have emerged from the shadow of the Soviet Union and blossomed as sovereign state, taking up your rightful place in the international community and as respected member of the European Union and NATO.  Lithuania has a fresh and energetic spirit, born out of your struggles and achievements (…)

We value the great diversity that is a defining characteristic of Europe and you enrich our continent with your distinctive language, culture and experience( ... )"

From H.M Queen Elizabeth II speech made in Vilnius, Lithuania on 17 October 2006

"People come here for different reasons, but the most common are the skill, adaptability and high education level of the people, central position in Eastern Europe, excellent logistics and a secure political and financial environment, and the package is very tempting."
